Shake that body

The accelerometer helps to 'shuffle' your songs. Give it a shake! Don't worry if you are using it for exercise because you can lock it so it isn't constantly shuffling your songs while you are exercising.

A stroke of Genius

A new feature in iTunes 8, Nano, Touch and Classic is the Genius button. The technology will automagically create a song list of 25, 50 or more songs that would sound good with a song you are listening to. The songs don't have to match the genre or anything else. The smarts is based on a knowledgebase that users have to 'Opt-In' when they activate. Otherwise, it will use data Apple has collected from the iTunes store sales. As the user base grows and more users Opt-In the accuracy and ability for the feature to build play lists will improve. Note the technology does not look at the beats or use song analysis at this point in time.
