GIGABYTE United is again excited to participate in CeBIT 2008, showcasing some
of their latest next generation platforms. This year GIGABYTE’s CeBIT
motherboard lineup kicks off with the wide range of top to bottom GIGABYTE
Dynamic Energy Saver motherboards (DES), including solutions based on the Intel
X48, X38, P45, G45, P35, P31 and G31 chipsets.
Featuring an advanced proprietary software and hardware design, GIGABYTE DES
motherboards provide exceptional power savings up to 70% and improved power
efficiency up to 20% through the use of GIGABYTE’s unique multi-gear power phase
design, allowing for the most efficient switching of power phases depending on
CPU workload. With it’s easy-to-use user interface and LED display located

Intel Platform
To start things off on the Intel platform, GIGABYTE will give a sneak peak of
their upcoming motherboards based on the Intel® P45 chipset (EagleLake).
Offering support for the very latest Intel® 45nm CPUs with 1600MHz FSB, GIGABYTE
P45-based motherboards deliver lightening-fast DDR3 memory support (up to
1600MHz) as well as motherboards featuring DDR2 memory (up to 1200MHz) for an
impressive 16GB of total system memory. With dual PCI Express 2.0 x8
connectivity and support for ATI CrossFireX™ technology, as well as support for
Intel® Turbo memory up to 4GB, GIGABYTE P45 motherboards push the envelope by
delivering highly optimized performance and flexibility demanded by power users
and extreme gaming enthusiasts. Further extending their multimedia capabilities,
GIGABYTE P45 motherboards are equipped with the high quality ALC889A audio
codec, featuring 106dB Signal-to-Noise ratio playback quality, enabling a wide
range of home entertainment, gaming and Blu-ray and HD DVD support, for an
exhilarating home theater entertainment experience.
In addition, GIGABYTE will highlight their latest Intel® X48-based extreme
overclocking motherboards. Supporting Intel 45nm Yorkfield CPUs with
native1600MHz FSB support, GIGABYTE X48-based motherboards feature Dual PCI
Express 2.0 x16 connectivity with support for ATI CrossFireX™ Technology,
support for either DDR3 memory up to 1900MHz or DDR2 memory up to 1200MHz,

AMD Platform
On the AMD side, GIGABYTE presents the GA-MA78GM-S2H, featuring the first
DirectX® 10 UMA solution for the AM2+ platform. Featuring the ultimate in UMA
graphics performance (scoring above 1500 on 3DMark06), the GIGABYTE
GA-MA78GM-S2H is equipped with integrated ATI Radeon® X1250-based graphics with
an additional PCI-E 2.0 x16 graphics interface to support ATI Hybrid Graphics
Technology. With integrated DVI/HDMI interface with HDCP, and ALC889A audio
codec, the GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H delivers the ultimate home theater
entertainment experience.
Additionally, GIGABYTE will be showcasing the GA-M780SLI-DS5 based on NVIDIA’s
latest high performance 780a SLI™ chipset. Featuring exceptional graphics
performance with dual PCI-E 2.0 x16, the GIGABYTE GA-M780SLI-DS5 provides an
additional PCI-E 1.0 x16 lane to support NVIDIA 3 Way SLI™, delivering a
performance boost of up to 2.4x to 2.6x. The GA-M780SLI-DS5 also supports NVIDIA
Hybrid SLI™ and Hybrid Power™, allowing users to customize their graphics

also supports adjusting of GPU clock, shader and memory settings, for maximum
overclocking performance.
In addition, GIGABYTE’s Gamer HUD™ provides advanced power savings through its
auto-optimized 2D/3D GPU frequency switching feature. When enabling 2D
applications such as email, web browsing and media playback, the GPU frequency
is lowered to 2D mode allowing the graphics card to save power consumption. For
more graphics intensive applications such as gaming and 3D rendering, the 3D
switch is activated, raising the GPU frequency to allow for the greatest level
