Vrzone.com Article: A Walk About SLS (09-07-2005)
ASUS Extreme N7800GTX It's yet another regular Sim Lim Square Walk About this week, over at VR-Zone. Over at ATF Multimedia, we got to see a late comer to 7800 GTX scene. The ASUS Extreme N7800 GTX is another high end product from the top Taiwanese firm. Although the card, like every other 7800 GTX that showed up on shelves recently, are all identical to one another. But however, the bundled contents had brought us a pleasant surprise. Having games like Project Snow Blind, Xpand Rally, Joint Operations, and even more utility softwares, like Power Director and such, it's no wonder they command such a branding and price. Sold for $1259, it's a high price to pay for quality and branding. Also, this card had help our in-house Overclocking guru, Shamino, broken the 3DMark 05 world record, of 16,770. Read more here.

The card itself. ASUS didnt bother with those small logo emblems, show's their serious approach to this field.
The only deciding factor - EN7800GTX, the only clue showing this is an ASUS card.
Something that is not available on other cards. The HDTV cum VIVO mini breakout box, to be connected onto the S-Video output from the card.
A closer look at the DIP switches. Various HDTV modes are available thru hard switching, from super high resolution of 1080p to lower range of 480p. Sweet!
The back of the large box. Eagle 6600GT AGP The Geforce 6600GT remains the best selling mid range graphic card for the masses. Eagle 6600GT AGP holds the crown for being the cheapest for the 6600GT AGP category. Priced at a shocking $270 at DAT, it is an undisputed winner in terms of pricing. Having a redesigned PCB board, with some unusual designs, this card might be your choice if you're tight on budget.
The Eage 6600GT AGP. Dual Fan system to cool both the Nvidia HSI bridge and the core. Redesigned PCB board, very unlike big names with the similar products.

The simple packaging of the Eagle card. ASUS A8N-SLi Premium ASUS had made waves previously for the A8N-SLi Deluxe, and now they had came out with an improved model, the ASUS A8N-SLi Premium. Spotting some impressive cooling on the northbridge, this board itself has totally no moving parts to produce noise. On top of it, this board is said to have improved overclocking capabilities, especially with 1T memory settings. Our in-house Overclocking guru, Shamino uses this board, and had recently broken another world record with this board. Take a look here. Priced at $315 and could be found at DAT, this is simply a fusion of extreme performance and stability.

Silverstone Nitrogen NT02 Silverstone is a name that comes into mind when it comes to Power and Cooling, together with clean sleek looks and quality. The Silverstone Nitrogen NT02 heatsink/fan is no exception. Full Copper heatsink, with a very pretty Silverstone Nitrogen emblem on the top, and comes with heatpipes to ensure quick heat dissipation. Found at DAT, and priced at $95 for this, it's a must have for those case modders.

While we were walking about in Sim Lim Square, we've spotted many shops decorating themselves with lots of Maxtor boxes. Upon some questioning and we found that there was a Maxtor decorating competition going on, where the most decorated store could win a 30" Philips LCD TV. Looking fascinating, the winner of this competition, Media Mart Computer, is sure a deserved winner.
Just look at the number of Maxtor boxes!
