8 May 2008 - OCZ today announced two new Reaper HPC solutions, the PC3-14400 and PC3-12800 Reaper HPC Series are now available in both 2GB and 4GB dual channel kits. The PC3-14400 and PC3-12800 Reaper HPC Series will be available in 4GB (2x2048MB) and 2GB (2x1024MB) Dual Channel Kits.

7 May 2008 - ASUS launched the world’s first stand-alone color processor with a modularized graphics card – the ASUS Splendid MA3850M; which combines a video enhance card with the ASUS Splendid HD processor and a modularized VGA card. Gigabyte has unveiled their EP45-Extreme specially for the enthusiasts with features such as Hybrid-Silent Pipe - a combination of air and water cooling, DES Advanced that phase switch even during overclocking, hardware overvoltage control chip that provides more voltage control options.

6 May 2008 - OCZ today premiered the world’s first PC3-16000 4GB (2x2048MB) DDR3 kits to provide even greater performance and productivity on the latest DDR3 platforms. The new OCZ DDR3 PC3-16000 Platinum Edition kits combine two 2GB modules for 4GB system density running at 9-9-9 latencies and a record-breaking 2GHz data rate. All of this is achieved at only 1.9V which falls well within the voltage tolerances of any DDR3 memory controller currently on the market.

30 April 2008 - GeForce 9800 GT will be available on both 65nm and 55nm process as we learned. The 65nm version is actually a rebranded GeForce 8800 GT based on G92 core while the 55nm version is actually G92b core we have told you before. Both will be higher clocked than the 8800 GT. The reason is that Nvidia is not comfortable to go full fledge 55nm process like AMD so the 65nm version is more of a safety precaution just in case the yield from 55nm doesn't turn out well.

29 April 2008 - Walton Chaintech introduces its new APOGEE GT DDR2 1150 and 1200 memory module 4GB KIT (2GB x 2 pc). 9 May 2008 - The ARCTIC RC comes with a highly conductive pre-applied thermal tape to improve heat transfer from the memory module. 8 May 2008 - ARCTIC COOLING today unveiled the Freezer 7 LP, an Intel CPU cooler designed for media centre users. The heatsink design of the Freezer 7 LP reduces the size of the cooler leaving it only 42mm slim (to the air intake level) / 53mm (with fan holder) and 263g light, almost half the size of usual CPU coolers. There are two heatpipes, 40 fins and an 80mm PWM fan dissipate heat from the CPU core. It offers a 6-year limited warranty and will be available by mid-May 2008. The MSRP is US$ 27.95 / 17,95 € (excl VAT).

6 May 2008 - ASUS has announced the new ASUS P5Q series of motherboards; which feature the new ASUS EPU-Six Engine. 6 May 2008 - Intel, Samsung and TSMC today announced they have reached agreement on the need for industry-wide collaboration to target a transition to larger, 450mm-sized wafers starting in 2012.. The total silicon surface area of a 450mm wafer and the number of printed die is more than twice that of a 300mm wafer. The bigger wafers help lower the production cost per chip.

30 April 2008 - Kingston today announced it is first to offer high performance, low-latency DDR2-667 SO-DIMM notebook memory to the world. Offering greater performance options for existing mobile platforms, the HyperX DDR2-667 CL4 SO-DIMM kits in 2GB and 4GB capacities are the first in a new line of memory innovations Kingston plans to release over the next few months to the notebook market.

29 April 2008 - A-DATA Technology today announced its largest capacity USB flash drives in two models, the 32GB PD2 and PD9 that it is expanding its USB flash drive family lines with new 32GB capacity offerings. The 32GB PD2 and PD9 which is about the size of 69.6mm x 17mm x 10mm (L x W x H ), and is small and light enough to be taken anywhere.
