The G92 based 8800GT has been the talk of the town for the past few weeks, with teeny bits and pieces of information flowing around the web, and today, we will be taking a look the 8800GTs we've recieved through the weekend. In this review, we will see how does the 8800GT hold up against it's predecessors, the 8800GTS and 8800GTX on high resolution, in both single card and SLI mode. (*SLI scores will come later)

 | nice reviews.
i think many shops & buyers of previous 8800 wanna cry liao... |

 | for those who just bought any other 8800 or a 8600GT(S) card.
Edit: I was also thinking; the 8800GT should've been called the 8900GT or something. At least it sort of makes sense if the 8800GTX is still the more powerful one. |

 | should be the rig, card alone cannot possibly need so much power. |
Comment by: koo on 29-Oct-2007 8:20 pm
 | I just wanna ask floppy whether the power consumption test is showing the whole rig's consumption or the card only? |

Agree with that since now all the cards are simply using the same inadequate coolers with different stickers. Buyers have to factor in a replacement HSF into the price equation, seems nVidia is happy to cripple this new card's performance with a wimpy cooler.
For the really patient, the new 88GTS may save the buyer some money/trouble if its HSF runs cool/quiet enough to save on a 3rd party coolr. |
