Facebook Futuremark, the leader in making 3D Benchmarks, has just opened up the floodgates to allow users to publish their Intel Core 2 Duo results. We have ran SLI @ x16 x16 with Intel Core 2 Duo and published some orthodorx SLI results using Futuremark Approved Drivers. Interesting results from a chipset you have not seen much of yet.
Very interesting results, you may want to check it out...

| Updated 06: http://resources.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/16181.jpg http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=419089 GPU core is 1040mhz capable with 140 pcie, for some strange reason i can run ntune with a single card but not in sli. ntune can pull my pcie up to 140 which is much needed! |

| I saw a everest score at 11mb/s on a DS3 I believe in a thread here, gotta be bugged then? I can't get close to that. I don't know which others gives 2x16x PCI-E, does P5W only support 2x8x? |

http://sg.vr-zone.com/?i=3870 memory benches seems to be no difference, though the badx does seem a lil better in 3d for some reason. |

| I wonder when the limit of 3DMark03 will be reach just like the 70k by 01SE [i think it was raised recently] |

| How is the bandwidth using Everest/Sandra comparing to 975x and 965P? At the same speed of course. Really great work Shamino. With hacked SLI drivers we can't run 2x16x SLI right? |

| weird ur non-cold bug bios seems to be a cold-bug bios for me yep booting up cold is not that easy |

>1.6v for vcore doesnt seem to do much on this board at all, your right. Also didnt see much of a difference between 300-320 fsb either in 06'. In 05' and 01', the lack of fsb is a little more evident. My board is really buggy, and just doesnt want to load windows below -30c or so. I've managed 06' runs around 4.4ghz with -50 to -60c, but it likes to lock up in between tests or when setting clocks in windows. Then I have to sit and wait for warmer boot temps...really sucks. Something in the system is cold bugging hard. Also in aquick test with the cards, I hit the same limit you did around 1009mhz with 131mhz pcie-x setting, though this bios im using goes to 141mhz, it does it in weird increments that I think the cards dont like for example: 132.35,134.50,136.25,138.75,etc. We need to be able to fine tune the pci-ex in mhz increments and my cards def need more that 131 to fly ![]() |

maybe x16 x16 helpin a bit too? how do u find the fsb help? from just a brief test 300 to 320+ mark 06 didnt gain much at all. i dunno if u find the same? in any case, with core 2 at 4.5G the bottleneck's back at the gpus where it shoulda been ![]() Any luck w that greenie board? you tried 1.6v, stead of the high volts? the board's not meant to do over 1.6v through VID, i dunno how they're tyring to hard VID it through bios but she doesn't seem to like that ![]() |

| Congratz on First official 60k Sham! With only 4.5 ghz to very nice. My impression has been that the board is a lil stronger in 06 and 03 then 975x no? |
Comment by: EVGAJKOHL on 03-Aug-2006 5:49 am
Yeah, I already have the EVGA 7950, and Jakup was the first with 2 of them from EVGA, so we are really hoping for the Channel to come thru with some High O/c ing boards. But like Jacob said, I feel the FSB is to low, but with Nvidia releasing Qud-SLI for Crossfire Mobo's, maybe the will allow SLI on all Intel boards, Using a single 7950 on an Intel 975X or 965P might end up being an option. We'll have to wait for the DFI/ASUS 590 Release anyways.![]() |

It could be also whether 975 will open up for sli before the new chipset comes. then that would surely be the bigger draw, unless you lookin for pcie x16 x16, can be useful for quad. |

| Mark 03 update: http://resources.vr-zone.com/Shamino/60183.jpg 60K Official!! http://resources.vr-zone.com/Shamino/60183b.jpg With just 4.5GHz. GPU Core is almost at it's cap at current 131MHz PCIE |
Comment by: Shamino on 02-Aug-2006 4:10 pm
| IMO, its not gonna matter if it's an ASUS or a DFI, you will still be capped around there in terms of FSB, till a major overhauled version of this chipset arrives, probably close to the end of the year. That would also bring about a question: Should potential buyers hold off first for the later version? |
Comment by: jAkUp on 02-Aug-2006 2:11 pm
Yes definetely! Nice OC but that FSB is mucho disappointing, I was hoping for more out of the 590, makes me frown upon my upcoming 6700 with only a 10x multi ![]() |
Comment by: EVGAJKOHL on 02-Aug-2006 1:24 pm
| NICE,I hope the DFI Lan Party or the ASUS Gamers Republic 590 version has more headroom on the FSB!!! |
