Shuttle Inc., is the leading global designer and manufacturer of small form factor (SFF) computers and accessories. The company announced today that XPC systems are now Energy Star compliant. With Energy Star compliance, Shuttle XPC systems consume 70% less electricity than comparable non-Energy Star compliant systems.

Shuttle Energy star compliant systems include the XPC M2000 with Intel Viiv technology, the extremely small XPC X100 at 2 inches tall, G5 3600 multimedia system and value level XPC T3100 with its low cost and easy maintenance. Additionally, Shuttle XPC PC2 2700 and XPC P2 3700 systems deliver dual-core processor technology and bleeding edge performance while maintaining Energy Star compliance.

When Energy Star compliant XPC systems are inactive, it will enter a power saving mode and consume less than 15 watts of power. Both business and home users can benefit from the low power usage that Shuttle XPC’s offer. These XPC systems are also quieter in addition to the low power consumption. Noise levels vary from whisper quiet 24 decibels to no more than 30 decibels on the high end gaming machines while the system is idling.

In addition to energy star compliance, Shuttle systems are also environmentally friendly, achieved through Shuttle’s green approach to the packaging and design of Shuttle systems. “Shuttle is concerned about the environment and the future sustainability of our planet. We are constantly finding new ways to manufacturer systems using recyclable materials” said Kevin Tu, Product Marketing Manager for Shuttle North America.
