Gigabyte GA-N650SLI-DS4 650i SLI Review3D Performance, SLI
Gaming in Half Life 2 Lost Coast:
I just had to make sure that SLI works on this board, so I put in 2 x ASUS EN8800GTS 640MB in SLI. I flipped the SLI Switch card around of course. SLI works fine on my board, so I was glad that no issues were encountered.
In SLI mode I decided to really stress the Graphics power of each board so I ran 3D Mark 06 Test at 2560x1600 with 16x Anisotropic Filtering:
The 3D SLI performance of the Gigabyte lies between Abit and ASUS, slower than the Abit by only 2%, and faster than the ASUS by 0.3%.
Overall, I would say that the performance variation between the 3 650i SLI motherboards are miniscule. Most cases, the Gigabyte was less than 1% slower
than the fastest competitor, and at most 1% slower. Board was stable and
issue-free as well in single card and SLI configuration.
