We all know that the evil DFI has aborted her baby, the DFI LAN Party NF590 SLI Intel Motherboard.

After nursing this bruised infant for a week now, and plastering her up with a prosthetic BIOS, she was up and benchmarking fiercely with the rage of an abandoned child:

In the warm afternoon, with the sun baking my small enclosed room, I put down a pair of 7900GTX in SLI onto the motherboard and started clocking away.

With the following set of components, I was pleased to find my efforts rewarded... that unwanted as she is, the performance beast in her is no illusion.

Intel Core 2 Duo X6800 @ 4650MHz - 14 x 332MHz

DFI LAN Party NF590 SLI w Reference BIOS Swapped in - BETA

GSkill 2 x 512MB F2-8000PHU1- HZ @ DDR2 800MHz CL 3-3-3-5 2.3v

Inno3D 7900GTX SLI @ 1016MHz Core 1068MHz Memory

SilverStone Zeus ST75ZF Power Supply

Cooled by Home-Brew Triple Cascade

16,317 3D Mark 06 Score!!

I was glad to give this ill-fated board a second chance... hopefully, when the sun sets and the room goes a little more chilly, we can get her higher!
